Shipping Policy
Last Updated: 08/22/26
1. Overview
WIP Equipment Distribution ships industrial equipment, trailers, and related parts across the continental United States. Due to the size, weight, and specialized handling requirements of our products, shipping methods and costs vary significantly by item and delivery location.
2. Shipping Methods
Freight/Flatbed Delivery — Trailers and large equipment ship via flatbed or step-deck freight carrier. Items are secured, tarped (if applicable), and delivered curbside unless liftgate or inside delivery is arranged in advance.
LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) — Smaller equipment, attachments, and palletized parts ship via LTL freight carrier.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
-
Item weight and dimensions
-
Delivery distance (per-mile rate for trailer/flatbed delivery)
-
Delivery location accessibility (residential vs. commercial, road conditions)
-
Additional services requested (liftgate, inside delivery, appointment scheduling)
An accurate shipping quote will be provided at checkout or upon request before order confirmation. Freight quotes for oversized or custom equipment may require manual review.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Shipping MethodEstimated Transit Time
In-stock trailers/equipment (freight)5–14 business days
Custom or made-to-order equipmentVaries — confirmed at time of order
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed; they may be affected by carrier availability, weather, or regional service disruptions.
5. Delivery Requirements
-
Access: Customer is responsible for ensuring the delivery site is accessible to a commercial freight truck (typically 53' trailer with tractor). Notify us in advance of any access restrictions (narrow roads, low clearance, gated property, etc.).
-
Someone must be present to receive and sign for freight deliveries unless prior release authorization is provided.
-
Unloading: Standard freight delivery does not include unloading. Customer is responsible for having proper equipment (forklift, loader, etc.) on-site unless liftgate/assisted unloading was purchased.
-
Inspection at Delivery: Customer must inspect the shipment for visible damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage directly on the delivery paperwork — signing "clear" limits our ability to file a freight claim.
6. Damage, Shortages & Claims
-
Report any freight damage or shortages within 48 hours of delivery.
-
Keep all original packaging and take photos of damage before moving or using the item.
-
Concealed damage (not visible until unpacking) must be reported within 5 business days.
-
We will coordinate directly with the freight carrier to file claims on the customer's behalf when damage is properly documented.
7. Shipping Restrictions
-
We currently ship within the continental United States. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or international addresses may be available on a case-by-case basis — contact us for a custom quote.
-
Some oversized loads may require permits, escort vehicles, or delivery scheduling in states with specific transport regulations; any associated costs will be communicated prior to shipment.
8. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive tracking/BOL (Bill of Lading) information and the freight carrier's contact details. For freight shipments, the carrier will typically call to schedule a delivery appointment.
